I asked Boomerang and Wanda for a knockout black tri boy - and they gave me Tundra. WOW!
It was love at first sight. Even with puppy fuzz flying everywhere, the potential was obvious.
At 3 months old he went to Nationals and took Best of Opposite to Bree's daughter, 'Vogue' in the Puppy Sweeps. He won 3 of his 4 classes.
At 5 months old he went to his first IABCA show and took the puppy class 3 of 4 times, then a Group 1 Puppy and then a Reserve BEST IN SHOW Puppy!
In May 2009 at the HUGE Loveland, Colorado IABCA show, Tundra takes Winners Dog 3x, over more mature dogs, to earn his NAMASCUSA Championship at the tender age of 11 months.
Tundra now has the distinction of being our youngest home-bred and raised CHAMPION!!
2010 NEWS:Tundra went to Pat Hastings in February for his 'Adult' evaluation. Pat's very accurate comment was 'that is a LOT of dog!' Which is oh so true. However, he also evaluated even better than he did as a puppy and our combined conclusion is that he has MUCH to contribute to the breed in terms of substance, type and structural integrity. He now has puppies on the ground and they are growing up LOVELY and SMALL! (So far . . ) Genetics continue to be a mystery . . . He also seems to be passing on his bubbling personality which is totally awesome.
Nationals 2009 NEWS - Tundra takes PREMIER MALE: Tundra presented himself well at Nationals against a tough field of beautiful dogs. It is an honor to be at Nationals and see the quality of the dogs - even more of an honor to be 'in the ribbons' with the best of the best. Besides winning ribbons, Tundra entertained all with his friendly antics. A close friend described Tundra's personality perfectly; she said when we walked through the crowd at a show, it was almost an involuntary response for people to smile. He is a happy boy who is convinced that LIFE IS A PARTY and it has his name written all over it. Everyone he meets is his new best friend - that includes YOU and you and you and YOU!

Tundra and his wonderful pedigree were chosen to add true Aussie type, style and substance to our mini lines. I am looking forward to blending his lines with some of the 'Buglets' and 'Grand-Buglets' that are available. His personality and temperament are amazing. He is willing to do anything I ask, from pulling my garden cart or a scooter, herding the sheep, to practicing obedience. He can be a clown or serious as needed and if nap time is in order, that is OK too! The only thing he isn't crazy about is swimming - and he will even do that if the day is hot and I insist.
He always forgives me for getting him wet. He is my 'Buddy-Boy'.
This is Tundra's Dam, Watermark Stand Counted, 'Wanda'. She is a plain little AKC/ASCA girl with amazing structure. She raised some beautiful puppies who are competing in agility, herding, obedience and conformation in almost every venue.
